Girls Only Futsal
Strive’s Lionesses
A new girls-only futsal programme for girls in Years 7–9, offering the opportunity to try something different and have fun in a relaxed and welcoming environment.
We’re excited to be launching Strive’s Lionesses, a new girls-only futsal programme for girls in Years 7–9.
Taking place indoors at Chatham Grammar, the programme gives girls the opportunity to try something different and have fun in a relaxed and welcoming environment.
Try Something Different
Futsal is different from traditional football. Played indoors on a smaller pitch, it focuses on close ball control, passing, movement, decision-making and developing technical skills. It’s a great way to stay active, build confidence and try a new sport.
There are currently limited opportunities locally for girls to try futsal, so we’re excited to offer something different and give more girls the chance to discover the sport in a supportive, girls-only setting.
Everyone Is Welcome
The sessions are open to all girls in Years 7–9, including girls who don’t currently take part in any sport or physical activity. You don’t need to have played football or futsal before, and you don’t need to be sporty or experienced. Whether you’re completely new to sport, play regularly or just want to try something different, everyone is welcome.
A Supportive Girls-Only Environment
Our aim is to create a welcoming environment where participants can:
Meet Your Coach
The sessions will be led by our female coach, Megan, helping to create a friendly and encouraging environment where girls can feel comfortable, get involved and enjoy being active.
